When FAO’s Global Exhibition From Seeds to Foods returns for its second edition in October, members of the U.S. Sustainability Alliance (USSA) will join forces to promote a deeper understanding of U.S. farming, fisheries and forestry under the theme “Fostering Innovation for Food Security and Nutrition.”
From 8–12 October, in Rome’s historic Circo Massimo, the Almond Board of California, California Prune Board, U.S. Dairy Export Council, U.S. Soybean Export Council, U.S. Wheat Associates and USA Rice will share insights (and product samples) in the North American Pavilion. Additionally, USSA members will host a panel discussion on food security on the main stage.
Ryan Olson, Director of Trade Policy at U.S. Wheat Associates and a member of the USSA Management Council, said, “We want visitors to leave our exhibit with a clearer understanding of how food, fish, fuel and fiber are produced in the United States. We’re proud to highlight USSA members’ sustainable production practices and demonstrate how innovation drives continuous improvement across U.S. agriculture.”

Now in its second year, From Seeds to Foods complements World Food Day and World Food Forum activities with interactive, engaging exhibits designed to bring agrifood systems to life. According to the official website, and in line with FAO’s biennial theme, this year’s exhibition will demonstrate how targeted innovations, technological solutions, local knowledge and policy advancements can strengthen food security and nutrition outcomes across diverse contexts.
