The European Union (EU) ranked as the third-largest market for U.S. agricultural products in 2025. According to the 2025 U.S. Agricultural Export Yearbook from USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, U.S. agricultural sales to the EU rose by 12.9% to $14.5 billion. The top U.S. exports to the EU were tree nuts, soybeans and corn. Corn was a notable success, with exports increasing by 205% between 2024 and 2025 and soaring by 1,128% over the past decade. Distilled spirits and ethanol (non-beverage) completed the export top five.

The United Kingdom, ranked 14th among U.S. agricultural export destinations, also experienced growth, albeit more modestly at 2.7%. Export sales of tree nuts remained strong and in line with the EU market, while ethanol emerged as the top export product. Despite a 26% decline in overall export sales from 2024, ethanol exports grew by a dramatic 36,837% over the past decade.
