The U.S. Sustainability Alliance Discusses Sustainability and Conservation Practices with Dutch and French Stakeholders
April 1, 2015 — Representatives from the United States’ agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors met with Dutch and French industry stakeholders, decision-makers, media and NGOs to discuss sustainability and conservation issues, and in particular to provide an overview of the conservation and sustainability practices used in the U.S.
The meeting program was aimed at promoting an understanding among and ongoing engagement with EU stakeholders and decision-makers that the U.S. agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors take conservation and sustainability seriously and are committed to ongoing improvements and progress and that while the U.S. and the EU may have different approaches – ‘many roads lead to Rome’ there is no right or wrong way but that the overall goal on both sides of the Atlantic is to improve and enhance sustainability and conservation methods across the chain.
