SUMMARY: An annual report on global agricultural productivity
DESCRIPTION: The 2023 Global Agricultural Productivity (GAP) report evaluates agricultural productivity growth, which is recognized as the single most effective solution to producing enough food for a growing population while meeting environmental goals. Although some regions have experienced strong productivity growth, most parts of the world are lagging. The report emphasizes the need to remove barriers preventing every farmer from accessing proven, appropriate, productivity-enhancing tools such as improved genetics and precision agriculture to close the gap.
