DESCRIPTION: A new study by climate scientists analyzes the impact of current food production, distribution, and consumption patterns on future global warming, highlighting the need for urgent action to limit global warming to the internationally-agreed 1.5 degrees Celsius. Based on extensive global datasets, models, and data from more than 100 studies, the study identifies the food items and greenhouse gases that contribute most to future warming and considers the mitigation potential of four possible solutions.
