European young farmers association, CEJA, has launched a sustainability survey to understand how the EU’s young farmers see their future and how best to implement a more sustainable agriculture sector.
Speaking at the launch of the survey on March 28, CEJA President Mr. Alan Jagoe stressed that “without the input of young farmers in their future I don’t see how policymakers can make the informed decisions we need to see at the European stage.”
The survey is in seven languages and the results will be presented in a final report in September during an event in Brussels involving EU institution and all major stakeholders. CEJA is cooperating with dairy equipment and milking systems company, DeLaval.
DeLaval’s President and CEO, Mr. Joakim Rosengren, said the company was committed to supporting the next generation of farmers towards a more sustainable and profitable agriculture.
“We are very pleased to collaborate with CEJA on this survey and we look forward receiving the answers from young farmers across Europe on this important matter,” he said.
The survey is open to all young farmers in the 28 EU countries.
