As of July 1, 2026, U.S. origin prunes, prune juice and prune juice concentrate entering the EU will do so tariff-free. This follows the Council of the European Union’s formal adoption of tariff commitments outlined in the August 2025 EU-US Joint Statement.
The California Prune Board welcomes the landmark agreement, which gives European trade partners easier access to high-quality California prunes, known for their reliable supply, consistent quality and strong industry marketing. The agreement also expands consumer choice as demand for healthy foods grows.
