DESCRIPTION: According to a new report from the National Corn Growers Association, U.S. corn growers produced a record 17.02 billion bushels in 2025, exceeding the previous high by more than 14%. The study estimates that corn farming generated $142 billion in total economic output, contributed $56 billion to U.S. GDP and supported more than 482,000 jobs. Its economic reach extends far beyond the farm, benefiting all 50 states and more than 500 industries through agricultural supply chains and household spending. Overall, every bushel of corn produced contributed an estimated $8.34 in economic activity to the wider U.S. economy.
