Description: The American Feed Industry Association’s 2025-26 State of the U.S. Animal Food Industry Report examines how the sector is responding to political, regulatory and global market change while continuing to support U.S. agriculture and food security. The report highlights an economic footprint of $267.1 billion alongside progress in animal food safety, supply chain resilience, sustainability, workforce development and international trade. U.S. animal food exports reached $7.8 billion in 2025, while the industry also continues to make use of agricultural co-products and other upcycled ingredients. Published under AFIA’s “Feeding Independence, Growing Innovation” theme, the report considers both recent achievements and the challenges shaping the industry’s future.
