A new partnership will bring together The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, agricultural company Syngenta and The Nature Conservancy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through improved cow feed.

This represents another step forward for the U.S. Net Zero Initiative (NZI) that supports dairy’s progress towards its 2050 environmental stewardship goals.

The partnership will give farmers access to a product called Enogen that is more digestible for cows, enabling them to produce more milk, whilst reducing their methane emissions.

Farmers who choose to be in the improved cow feed program will also be offered a range of other practices, including cover crops and reduced tillage.
